The Micro X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometer Eagle III µ-Probe represents an instrument of the third generation of micro X-ray fluorescence spectrometers.

The size of the analyzed spot on the sample is minimized by the use of X-ray optics, possible spotsizes range from 20 µm to 300 µm.

A X-ray capillary lens collects a large amount of tube radiation and focuses the X-rays to the analysis area, thus providing a higher precision of analysis in spite of the use of a low power X-ray tube.

The advantages of Eagle III µ-Probe are obvious:

• Due to a high peak to backround ratio limits of detection are 10 - 50 ppm
• Non destructive analysis even of irregular shaped samples by means of the small size of the excited area.
• Large sample chamber for voluminous samples
• Analysis in air or gas atmosphere (He) is possible, so organic or liquid samples can be analyzed for elements down to phosphoros
• Flexible adjustment of the size of the excited area with ?VariSpot? or by easy changing of the capillary optics.
